Day hike!

Today William and I hiked to Makupu'u Point Lighthouse. Well, I hiked and he rode.
Here are some pics!

The view going up-Hawai'i Kai

William didn't make it to the top awake to see the views!

In the distance is Kailua/Kaneohe

Buster's first meal!

Finally time to start solid foods...with yummy rice cereal!

First we had to test out the high chair. He seemed to be a fan.

He had to wear his "L'il Cheng" bib. :)

Of course, he wanted to smile more than eat.

He's much more interested in cereal now. He bangs on the high chair if we are slow with the spoon.

Last Monday I took William to the Ko'Olina lagoons-they are waaay on the west side of the island, and we live waaay on the east side. But it was a fun day trip.

The lagoons are man made pools at the Ko' Olina Resort & Golf Club. Crowded during the weekends, but empty during the week. Very beautiful!

Here are the pics I was able to take from our blanket. William had a blast in the water-no rogue waves to get him!

Here are some new pics of William, just hanging out around the house!

I don't think he realizes what his shirt says.... :)

William's favorite time of day: when Dad comes home from work to play!

Loves to sleep on the Boppy...

One of him actually smiling instead of staring at the camera...

The dreaded Tummy time...

Racked out on the Boppy again...

'Sup, dudes!

No, Dad, I want to watch Sportscenter!Posted by Picasa

So, what do we do all day in the Aloha State?

Well, Cleo spends her days doing this:

Sometimes she sneaks outside to stalk some lizards...

William and I spend the mornings doing chores.

He is a big help with the laundry!

And he's so portable.

The other day we mowed the yard-not an easy feat with a a baby, but he was game. After all, he got to wear his sun hat.

We go to the beach.

William sometimes has a few too many.

Or we'll walk into town to run errands or go to the library. He's a big flirt with the ladies he meets!

And some days we just relax on the lanai (Hawaiian for patio) and listen to music. Buster's very good at "chillin' "

Aloha for now!

ALOHA!

Some Hawaii pictures from the other day at the beach-

Island you can swim/paddle to for seclusion or a picnic.

Gilligan had fun.

Paddleboarding (basically standing up on a surfboard) is big here. Seems like an odd way to get around to me! I tease our friend Donald, an avid paddleboarder, that it is an "old man's sport."

Of course William always gets his bath after the beach! If Dad is here he gets a shower. ;)
